Web Design
Remixed Magazine is a Web-zine project devoted to independent musicians, both the up-and-coming and big label veterans still doing great work as independents. In addition to designing and managing the site, I have acted as co-editor and have written a number of the features.
Roy Zimmerman has been called "a latter day Tom Lehrer" -- a political satirist of the highest order, and a songwriter whose work owes more to Stephen Sondheim than to Weird Al. A longtime fan, I've had the honor of designing and running his site since 2005, as well as developing his social media presence.
Your Corporate Press, a custom publishing company, creates newsletter, specialized Web sites, social media content and magazines for businesses. In addition to designing the site, I am a partner in the business, which is currently in the startup stage.
Brad Kelly is a Bethesda-based lawyer specializing in long-term care defense. It's rather boilerplate in its presentation, which is not my usual approach, but it's clear and attractive and what the client wanted.
In the 1990s, the Foremen recorded two albums of political satire for Warner Brothers/Reprise Records. The band is no longer together, so this is a static site, but it was great fun to design, and so pleased my client that he declared me an official member of the group :)
Other Worlds and Lands (OWL) is an independent television channel (still in the planning stages) that will air original science fiction and fantasy content. The artwork on the home page is a 3-D rendering I created in Bryce 5.
The Onion River Co-housing development was canceled before I finished their site, but I'm quite pleased with the design.
Nattacha Amador is a brilliant singer and actor, and partner (in art and marriage) to Mario Salas Lanz, (featured above). Inspired by a truly striking series of photographs of her, the site is stark and minimalist, yet warm, conveying both the focus and the passion that make her a great performer.
Laughing Gas, at 20 years and counting, is one of the longest running comedy improv companies in the country. This site is one of my favorite designs, for its effective use of photographs to convey the fun of a Laughing Gas show, and because I was a founding member of the group.
